Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek merupakan siswa pada kelas XI IPA 3 SMA N yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes berupa tes essay, dan metode non tes berupa observasi kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskripsi kualitatif. Target penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa \u226523%. Peningkatan persentase pada setiap aspek kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dari pratindakan sampai siklus II sebagai berikut: 1) aspek mengananlisis meningkat sebesar 34,17%, 2) aspek mengevaluasi meningkat sebesar 36,05%, dan 3) aspek mencipta meningkat sebesar 17,4%.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><i>Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, discovery learning<\/i><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\nAbstract<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe research is aimed to improve higher order thinking skills students at class XI IPA 3 of SMA N 1 Bantul through the implementation of discovery learning model on the thermochemistry subject. This research was a classroom action research which consists of two cycles. Each cycle contains four phases which were planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subjects were students at class XI IPA 3 of SMA N 1 Bantul totaling 36 students. The data collecting techniques of this research were using test method obtained through essay test, and non test method obtained through observation of higher order thinking skills and documentation. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The Target of research is to increase the higher order thinking skill\u2019s students \u226523%.
