Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII MIPA 3 semester I SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan tahun pelajaran 2017\/2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan investigasi siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa. Persentase keterampilan observasi meningkat sebesar 9,77%, keterampilan menganalisis meningkat sebesar 16,80%, dan keterampilan komunikasi meningkat 5,08%. This research was classroom action research (PTK). This research was carried out  in two cycles, each cycles consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject in this research was class XII MIPA 3 semester I at SMAN 1 Seyegan. The results of research showed the application of learning model Group Investigation could increase the investigation skills and student\u2019s learning motivation. The precentage of observation skills increased 9.77%, analyzing skills increased 16.80%, and communication skills increased 5.08%.
