Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan investigasi dan motivasi belajar kimia siswa kelas XII MIPA 3 semester I SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII MIPA 3 semester I SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan investigasi siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa. Persentase keterampilan observasi meningkat sebesar 9,77%, keterampilan menganalisis meningkat sebesar 16,80%, dan keterampilan komunikasi meningkat 5,08%. Persentase minat siswa, semangat siswa, tanggung jawab siswa, respon terhadap stimulus, serta rasa senang dan puas secara berturut-turut mengalami persentase peningkatan sebesar 5,13%; 8,2%; 3,5%; 19,94%; dan 22,27%.

Abstract
This classroom action research aimed to analyze the application of Group Investigation as learning model to increase investigation skills and student’s learning motivation class XII MIPA 3 semester I at SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan. This research was classroom action research (PTK). This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycles consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject in this research was class XII MIPA 3 semester I at SMAN 1 Seyegan. The results of research showed the application of learning model Group Investigation could increase the investigation skills and student’s learning motivation. The precentage of observation skills increased 9.77%, analyzing skills increased 16.80%, and communication skills increased 5.08%. The precentage of student’s interest, passion, responsibility, stimulus responsing, and satisfaction with the task given had increased respectively 5.13%; 8.2%; 3.5%; 19.94%; and 22.27%.
